About Us

For 15 years, ChimMaya provided a venue for established and emerging artists to exhibit their artwork, featured changing exhibitions and events throughout the year. With four separate/distinctive gallery spaces under one roof, that enabled us to present varied ‘themed’ and ‘solo artist’ exhibits simultaneously throughout the year.

December 2019 we closed for a much needed break from gallery life, with the intent to reopen in 2020 in a new location.  With the onset of COVID and the widespread shutdown of businesses as a result of the pandemic, we delayed reopening until life normalized again.

December 2023, after an extensive search for a new location, ironically….we found a space on the same block as our previous location.  Our new space spans two floors, 1^st and 2^nd floor galleries, and a small gift shop on the upper floor.

Located in the Los Angeles area, our vision is fundamentally rooted in showcasing the many facets of culture, society, humanity, and the changing attitudes and acceptance of global diversity.

In our 19^th year of operation, we’ve refocused our attention on working with many of the artists that have been closely associated with CM2Arts/ChimMaya over the years, and we have already begun establishing new relationships with emerging, mid-career, and established artists.
